About me
Hi, I am Magdalena
I’m a boy mom, entrepreneur, designer, and functional medicine health coach, building what I felt was missing in health: something families can actually use.
After years of leading a biotech startup at full throttle, burnout forced a reset. I didn’t need more willpower, I needed better systems. Through small, consistent shifts in nutrition, sleep, and movement, I reversed my biological age, and in my forties became a first-time mom.
That journey shaped my work: transformation doesn’t start with big leaps. It starts with small, gutsy steps. I blend functional medicine, behavior change, and habit science with UX and game design to make change more doable.
Health is complex, but it shouldn’t be fragmented. Parents are left to stitch together nutrition, movement, sleep and mental health while carrying everything else.
That’s why I created Gutsy Bites: playful, practical building blocks for lasting family health.
I trained with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA), the only coaching organization that partners with the Institute of Functional Medicine to integrate expertise from functional medicine practitioners into its core curriculum. The program is accredited by both the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and the UK & International Health Coaching Association (UKHCA).
I don’t see myself as the expert with all the answers, but as a bridge builder, someone who actively connects science, behavior, and design, bringing leading experts out of silos and shaping their insights into a cohesive, practical approach families can actually use. I collaborate closely with physicians, nutritionists, psychologists, and movement specialists to offer a holistic, human-centered approach.
At the heart of it all is a simple belief: real change doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing less, better. From small, repeatable actions that fit into everyday family life and quietly compound over time.
That belief is what led to Gutsy Bites, and it connects everything you’ll find here.
Because health isn’t built in perfect routines.
It’s built in small, gutsy moments, shared, modeled, and repeated together.

The Gutsy Bites Manifesto
We believe raising a healthy family takes guts.
Not the kind you see in superhero movies – but the everyday kind.
The kind it takes for a parent to pause, to try something new, to make a small shift when life already feels full.
The kind it takes for a child to taste a new food, learn to name a feeling, or take the first step toward a new habit.
We believe big change begins in bite-sized moments.
One snack. One bedtime ritual. One playful dance break in the living room.
These tiny, repeatable actions add up – shaping bodies, brains, and bonds that last a lifetime.
We believe science should feel simple, and health should feel like play.
Because wellness isn’t built in perfect routines, it’s built in everyday choices that fit into real family life.
We believe courage is contagious.
When a parent models a small act of gutsy change, a child learns that trying is part of growing.
When a child dares to explore, a parent rediscovers curiosity.
Together, they build resilience – one gutsy bite at a time.
Gutsy Bites isn’t just about food.
It’s about brave families choosing playful progress over perfection.
It’s about turning knowledge into rituals, and rituals into lifelong vitality.
It’s about proving that with a little courage, even the smallest bites can nourish a bigger, brighter future.
