The Founders Story
Why I Created GutsyBites
I have spent years leading a biotech startup and pushing my limits – until burnout caught up with me. I knew I had to redesign how i lived. Through small consistent changes in nutrition, sleep, and movement, I reversed my biological age – and in my forties, I became a first-time mom.
That journey taught me something powerful:
Transformation doesn’t start with big leaps. It starts with small, gutsy steps.
Now, I’m on a mission to help families everywhere build the same kind of playful, lasting health – beginning with Gutsy Bites.
Grounded in Science. Proven in Life.
I am not a pediatric nutritionist – and that is by design. My expertise is in translating complex health science into everyday family habits that actually stick and in bringing experts together to collaborate and innovate.
Science
In collaboration with leading nutrition and child health experts, we ground everything in evidence-based science.
Behavior
With behavior design and coaching, we I help parents bridge the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.
Play
And with stories and games, we make wellness playful, so kids want to be part of it too.

Frequently Asked Questions
Functional Medicine is a personalized, patient-centered, science-based approach to healthcare that addresses the gaps in the conventional healthcare system. It empowers patients and practitioners to work together to identify and treat the root causes of illness, using a holistic lens that considers personal history, genes, diet, environment, and the social determinants of health. By understanding the full picture, functional medicine helps restore health and well-being.
Health coaching is behavior change support; you bring your real life; I bring structure, tools, accountability, inspiration, and evidence-informed guidance to help you build habits that stick. If medicine is “what’s happening,” coaching is “how we make change actually happen on Tuesday.”
It’s functional-medicine–informed coaching, which means we look at likely root contributors (sleep, blood sugar swings, stress load, gut health basics, nutrient patterns, circadian timing) and translate them into doable actions.
It is not a medical clinic service, and I don’t diagnose or treat disease.
It’s a structured, supportive coaching program designed to help moms rebuild steady energy (and fewer “why am I a zombie at 3pm?” moments) through simple, science-informed habits: food, timing, sleep anchors, stress regulation, and routines that actually fit family life.
No. There are no strict meal plans, calorie counting, or “perfect eating” rules. We focus on energy stability, not food guilt; think repeatable structure, inspiration and smart defaults, not restriction.
It’s evidence-informed and practical. We use widely supported principles (circadian rhythm basics, blood sugar stability, protein/fiber foundations, stress physiology, habit formation). No detox teas. No extreme protocols. No moralizing about bread.
I’m not a registered dietitian/nutritionist, and I don’t provide medical nutrition therapy or prescribe clinical diets. I am a certified health coach trained through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA); the only health coach training program developed in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), which equips me to translate evidence-informed functional medicine principles into practical, sustainable behavior change.
When a client’s needs go beyond coaching scope (for example: complex medical conditions, therapeutic diets, pregnancy/lactation nutrition, pediatric clinical concerns, or lab interpretation), I collaborate and refer within a trusted network; including nutritionists, physicians, pediatricians, psychologists, physiologists, and other specialists, so you get the right expertise at the right time.
Think of me as the person who helps you turn “knowing what to do” into “actually doing it,” while making sure you’re supported by the appropriate licensed professionals when needed.
